Meet Lori Anderson, bounty hunter. And mother.

Why Deep Down Dead is in my "Books I've Enjoyed Reading" collection

First of all, I loved the cover as soon as I saw it on social media, and the early reviews for this first in series (there are now two books out) were raving about Lori Anderson – I simply had to buy a copy as soon as it came out, and I'm really glad I did. Here's the formal blurb:

Lori Anderson is as tough as they come, managing to keep her career as a fearless Florida bounty hunter separate from her role as single mother to nine-year-old Dakota, who suffers from leukaemia. But when the hospital bills start to rack up, she has no choice but to take her daughter along on a job that will make her a fast buck. And that’s when things start to go wrong.
